A market order is a type of stock trade instruction that executes immediately at the current market price. When you place a market order, you're prioritizing speed of execution over price control, meaning the trade will complete at whatever price is currently available in the market.
For cannabis stocks, market orders are particularly important to understand due to the sector's high volatility. Cannabis equities often experience significant price swings throughout trading sessions, with some stocks moving 10-20% or more in a single day.
